Monday - June 13 - 7:00pm - Justin Peters - Trading Sola Scriptura for Prima Scriptura
“Trading Sola Scriptura for Prima Scriptura” really forms the basis for how each of us will determine if the Enneagram is a helpful tool for Christians, harmful to Christians or simply neutral on a spiritual level. Is Scripture the final authority for faith and practice or is ancient wisdom and non-biblical practices on a par with or perhaps superior to Scripture?
Justin is a sound Bible teacher, speaker and popular YouTube podcaster. He was born and reared in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Justin earned his undergraduate at Mississippi State University (1995) and then a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology (2000, 2002) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Monday - June 13 - 8:00pm - Dr. Ron Huggins – Enneagram Genesis: In Search of Enneagram Origins
In 1992 Richard Rohr and Andreas Ebert stated in their book, The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective that the Enneagram did not have any Christian origins. Since that publication a new storyline has been built with claims of the Enneagram being used by pre-Christian Pythagoras (c. 570 – c. 495 BC) Evagrius Ponticus (345–399 AD), Ramon Llull (c. 1232– c. 1315/16) and others. Where does the truth lie?
Dr. Ronald V. Huggins received his doctorate (Th.D.) in Biblical Studies from the University of Toronto/Toronto School of Theology, with specializations in Second Temple Judaism, the Synoptic Gospels, Pauline Studies, and Patristics. He has previously taught a broad range of subjects including New Testament Greek, Church History, Modernism and Post Modernism at Moody Bible Institute Northwest, Salt Lake Theological Seminary, and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he also served as the managing editor of the Midwestern Journal of Theology. His academic writings have appeared in the Journal of Biblical Literature, Novum Testamentum, Revue de Qumran, Ephemerides Theologicae Lovaniensis, Westminster Theological Journal, Midwestern Journal of Theology, the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Eerdmans Dictionary of the Bible. He served as Chair of the Sayings of Jesus Consultation of the Evangelical Theological Society. His academic writings in the field of comparative religion have appeared in The Evangelical Dictionary of World Religions, Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought, and The Journal of Hindu-Christian Studies. His writings on the history of psychology have appeared in Phanês: Journal of Jung History along with a forthcoming article dealing with the history of the Enneagram in the Journal Bibliotheca Sacra. He is also the author of a biography of Jerald and Sandra Tanner, which is scheduled to be published this summer.
Tuesday - June 14 - 7:00pm - Don Veinot – The Enneagram, Discipleship and the Church
Discipleship is observation and imitation. All of us are discipling, some well and some not so well. Within the church leaders are to guard the flock, disciple them to be discerning and train them in the word and holy living based on the word. Does the Enneagram fit within scriptural faith and practice or it is in conflict with it?
L.L. (Don) Veinot Jr. is co-founder and President of Midwest Christian Outreach, Inc., a national apologetics ministry and mission to new religious movements based in Wonder Lake, IL., with a branch office in Quincy, IL and Cape Coral, FL. Tuesday - June 14 - 8:00pm - Dr. Doug Groothuis – The Enneagram and a Heretic’s Christ
Franciscan Friar Richard Rohr has been very influential in reshaping the theology and practice in large segments of the evangelical church. His disciples, Suzanne Stabile, Ian Cron, Christopher Heuretz, Beth McCord and others are some of the biggest selling authors from what are thought of as evangelical publishers. Is what he teaches biblically true or is the church embracing a Heretic’s Christ?
Douglas Groothuis, Ph.D., is Professor of Philosophy at Denver Seminary and the author of 15 books, including Christian Apologetics, 2nd ed. (2022). He has been publishing and teaching on cults, new religious movements, and apologetics for over forty years. Website: www.DouglasGroothuis.com
Wednesday - June 15 - 7:00pm - Dr. Rhenn Cherry – A Biblical Critique of the Enneagram Gospel: Is the Problem Human Sin or Mistaken Identity?
Never before in the history of personality typing has a system been spiritualized like the Enneagram. It is now even promoted and marketed as a “Christian” and “Gospel-Centered” tool by Enneagram evangelists. But what is the “gospel” offered by the Enneagram system? What is man’s problem according to Enneagram theology? And what is the Enneagram’s proposed solution to man’s problem? If this system is advertised as “Christian,” then a biblical critique of the Enneagram’s doctrines of God, man, sin, and salvation is warranted. Join us for a look at the underlying theology of the Enneagram and some of its fundamental contradictions with basic Christian doctrine.
Dr. Cherry serves as Adjunct Professor of Biblical Counseling at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in addition to his role as Director of Finances and Donor Relations for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). He holds degrees from North Carolina State University (BSME), Babson College (MBA), and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MA Missiology; Ph.D. Biblical Counseling). He and his wife, Terry, live in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr.Cherry is the author of Enneagram Theology: Is it Christian?

Wednesday - June 15 - 8:00pm - Doreen Virtue – "The Enneagram: A Valid Psychological Tool, A Spiritual Tool or Neither?"
The Enneagram is not a valid psychological tool, but instead is a New Age indoctrination tool which was derived from occult practices. Doreen discusses psychiatrist Claudio Naranjo: Grandfather of Psychedelic Therapy and why his public admission that he received the nine Ennea-types through automatic writing, is one of the many reasons why the Enneagram is an unredeemable pagan practice. You will hear a portion of Naranjo’s writings about the demonic nature of automatic writing. These are compared to Biblical commands that we are to having nothing to do with the occult, and that we are not to cause a brother to stumble. Doreen was formerly a best-selling new age author, and she describes how she used automatic writing to author heretical and blasphemous books before she was saved. Doreen combines her background of studying and administering personality tests as a former psychotherapist (B.A., M.A. Counseling Psychology from Chapman University), her knowledge as a former new age insider, and her theological seminary training to contend that Christians should have nothing to do with the Enneagram.
Doreen Virtue holds an M.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary, and an M.A. and B.A. in Counseling Psychology from Chapman University. She was formerly a top-selling new age author when Jesus saved her in 2017. She is the author of “Deceived No More: How Jesus Led Me Out of the New Age and into His Word” (Thomas Nelson, 2020). She is an evangelist who shares the Gospel with those in the new age and comes alongside those who have recently left the new age to follow Jesus.
Thursday - June 16 - 7:00pm - Marcia Montenegro - The Enneagram: Ancient Faith or New Age Deception?
How does the New Age connect with the Enneagram? This talk will cover the New Age background of the Enneagram through its founders, and examine the New Age ideas of the Enneagram, comparing them with biblical teaching. The New Age connections with popular Christian Enneagram teachers/writers will also be discussed, as well as the impact of this on the church.
Before trusting Christ, Marcia Montenegro was a professional astrologer and was involved in Eastern and New Age practices for many years. Through her ministry, Christian Answers for the New Age, Marcia speaks around the country and on radio, and writes on New Age and occult topics. She has a Masters in Religion from Southern Evangelical Seminary, Charlotte, NC, and serves as a missionary with Fellowship International Mission, Allentown, PA. Based in Arlington, VA, she is the mother of an adult son and author of SpellBound: The Paranormal Seduction of Today’s Kids, (Cook, 2006) and co-author of Richard Rohr and the Enneagram Secret, (MCOI Publishing LLC, 2020)
Thursday - June 16 - 8:00pm - Phil Roberts – The Enneagram: How Many Paths to God?
The Enneagram is not about what type of person someone is according to the Enneagram masters, but each number is a path to God. We are not separated from God but have simply invented a false self that thinks we are separated from God. The number of our personal path takes us on the road back to our true identity and the realization we have never been separated from God.
Dr. R. Philip Roberts was past-president of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. Previously he served as Vice President, Strategic Cities Strategies Group of the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) North American Mission Board. He also serves as the Executive Director of Christian Ministries to the U.N. Community office in New York City as well as ministries to government leaders in Washington, D.C. Phil was a professor at Southeastern and Southern Baptist Theological Seminaries and had served as the pastor of churches in Belgium, England and Germany. He has also previously served as the Director of the Interfaith Witness Department, where he was greatly involved in the production of the SBC-produced video The Mormon Puzzle, which brought him into extensive dialogue with LDS leaders and experts, including one of the co-authors of the controversial book How Wide the Divide, Stephen Robinson. Dr. Roberts was also a contributor to The Counterfeit Gospel of Mormonism. He is on the Board of Directors for Evangelicals Missions to Non-Christian Religions.
Friday - June 17 - 7:00pm - Jill Lancour – The Enneagram & The Tale of a Pastor’s Wife
The Enneagram was introduced to me as nothing more than a personality tool. I soon discovered something branded as the “Christian Enneagram” which was promoted as a “spiritual tool.” It was enticing and I was heavily deceived into believing and trusting that the Enneagram could be Righteous, so much so, that as a Pastor’s wife, I taught it to the women and families in our church. The Lord revealed the truth to me about what the Enneagram actually is and brought me to repentance. This is my story.
Jillian Lancour is a Blogger, Podcaster: Sharing Bold Biblical Truths for Women Maturing in Christ. She is married to her best friend Jacob and they have two beautiful daughters. She is a Homeschool mother and Homemaker. Her tagline is: “Christ over Culture. Obedience over Feelings.”
